I’ve attended weekly art lessons since I was five, therefore if you ask me about my art education… my answer is my whole life. Doing and exploring art has always felt like a way to express myself, enjoy myself, be seen by others and process my inner world. Especially by painting patiently and capturing by photography. Not alone but socially with others.

What is Art by Sofia Malkamäki for me?

I studied media and marketing at Tampere University for 5 years (2020-2025), wondering what will I do after graduation. Somehow I had the thought that doing art would be something I have to do as a hobby on the side / save the career aspect of it for my retirement. But why would I wait my whole life not doing what I love? After that thought chain I simply started to create. I've been creating actively ever since for over 2 years now.

What Art by Sofia Malkamäki can be for you? I:

• held my first solo exhibition at Galleria Kalleria & I aim to create live spaces for experiencing my art & stories also in the future.

• design and sell tote bags, so you can wear them.

• sell prints aka posters on request: 42 x 59 cm for 30e (A2) & 70 x 100 cm for 50e.

• teach painting aka hold workshops, so you can let your creativity flow, relax & get in touch with your inner child.

• take custom orders / commission, so you can own a piece hand made by me. :3

• am forever thankful for each order, workshop booking & feedback, because you guys make my dreams possible. <3
